The website has more than 80 employees and more than 1000 volunteers, all of whom evaluate the information and research to figure out how many they feel are worth the player's value.

Transfermarkt coordinator Christian Schwartz explained how the incident happened and spoke athletics.
"It was a difference of £ 30m to £ 50m [between Ronaldo and the next player on the list], and he sent some smiles, and then he blocked us."
Schwartz mistakenly recalled the graphics actually posted and said in an interview that he was a team of players over the age of 33.
In fact, Ronaldo's Portuguese teammate and Mendes client Bernardo Silva was most valued at € 100 million (£ 83 million / $ 112 million).
How much is Ronaldo worth now?
Transfermarkt currently values Ronaldo at £31.5m (£42m), less than half of what was quoted by the site two years ago.
However, Schwarz made it clear that age (Ronaldo turns 37 in February) plays a big part in deciding how much a player is worth.
"Age is one of the most important factors now," Schwarz said. "And Cristiano Ronaldo is old, even with Lionel Messi, and his value will diminish because of his age.
"Even though they are as good as three years ago, they are three years older."
